UBC’s Creative Writing Major is a unique undergraduate program that adopts an advanced, independent "studio" teaching model, focusing on developing professionally skilled writers. The program admits a limited number of students each year, and admission is based primarily on an evaluation of the applicant’s original writing portfolio. Once accepted, students will immerse themselves in multiple writing genres, participating in small, professionally-oriented writing workshops for creation and discussion.
